At Bar Bench House ("BBH"), we are committed to transparent platform workflows. This refund policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be considered for platform, tax, compliance and professional-service requests.
1. General policy
- All service fees are non-refundable once work has commenced (i.e., a professional or operations team member has begun processing your request).
- Refund eligibility depends on the stage of service delivery at the time of the cancellation request.
- This policy does not override professional rules applicable to advocates, CAs, CSs or other regulated professionals.
2. Legal / advocate services carve-out
- For advocate-led legal work, professional fees are governed by the advocate-client engagement, the advocate's professional judgment and applicable Bar Council rules.
- Professional fees paid for time, consultation, review, drafting, advice, appearance preparation or other work already rendered are generally non-refundable.
- Any platform facilitation fee, if separately identified, may be reviewed by BBH on a case-by-case basis before legal professional work has commenced.
- BBH does not provide e-commerce-style redo guarantees for legal advice, drafting, litigation strategy, court appearances or outcomes.
3. Full refund (100%)
You are eligible for a full refund if:
- Your service request has been submitted but no professional or operations team member has begun work yet.
- Cancellation is requested shortly after payment and no work has started.
- BBH is unable to provide the requested service due to our operational constraints.
4. Partial refund (50%)
A partial refund may be issued if:
- A professional or operations team member has begun initial review but no filings, drafts, submissions, consultations or substantive professional work have been completed.
- You cancel before any deliverable has been shared with you.
5. No refund
Refunds are not applicable in the following cases:
- The service has been completed or a deliverable has been shared (e.g., return filed, notice drafted, document prepared).
- Filing has been submitted to a government portal on your behalf.
- Government fees or third-party charges already incurred (these are never refundable).
- The client failed to provide required documents within 30 days despite reminders.
- The client provided incorrect or fraudulent information leading to rejection.
6. Consultation services
- Consultation fees are refundable only if the assigned professional fails to attend the scheduled session and no alternative session is accepted by you.
- No-shows by the client are not eligible for refunds.
- Dissatisfaction with professional advice, legal opinion, strategic assessment or outcome does not by itself create refund eligibility.
7. Quality review for non-legal deliverables
If you believe a non-legal deliverable contains factual or clerical errors attributable to our workflow:
- Report the issue within 7 days of delivery.
- We will review and, if justified, correct the factual or clerical error at no cost.
- This review process does not apply to legal strategy, professional judgment, court or regulatory outcomes, or decisions by authorities.
8. Government fee refunds
Government fees (e.g., MCA fees, trademark filing fees, GST registration fees) are paid directly to government portals and are non-refundable by BBH. Any refund from the government must be claimed directly by the client.
Pre-deposit charges, if applicable, are also non-refundable. Only service fee components may be eligible for refund subject to company policy review.
9. How to request a refund
- Log in to your dashboard and navigate to the service request.
- Click "Request Cancellation/Refund" and provide a reason.
- Alternatively, email contact@barbenchhouse.in with your order ID and reason.

10. Refund processing
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.
- Refunds are credited to the original payment method used during purchase.
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
11. Exceptions
