Welcome to Bar Bench House ("BBH", "we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our platform at barbenchhouse.in, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" means the Bar Bench House website, mobile applications and all related services.
- "Client" means any individual or entity that registers to use our services.
- "Professional" means an independently responsible CA, Advocate, CS, Tax Consultant or other professional onboarded on or accessible through our platform.
- "Services" means taxation, compliance, documentation, platform workflow and professional-service requests submitted through the platform.
- "Lead" means a service request submitted by a client.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3. Account Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at contact@barbenchhouse.in.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Services Provided
BBH is a technology intermediary that provides information, document intake, workflow tools, status tracking and operational support for professional-service requests. We facilitate:
- Income Tax Return filing (ITR-1 through ITR-7)
- GST registration and return filing
- Legal information, document workflows and requests that may be reviewed by independent advocates where applicable
- Company incorporation and business registration
- Compliance management (ROC, FSSAI, trademark, PF/ESIC, etc.)
BBH acts as an intermediary platform. Professional advice, filings, appearances, attestations, certifications and legal work are rendered only by the relevant independent professional, who remains responsible for their professional judgment and regulatory obligations. BBH is not a law firm, chartered accountancy firm or company secretary firm.
BBH is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by the Bar Council of India, ICAI, ICSI or any other regulator unless expressly stated in writing by that regulator. Any reference to a regulator is for identification of the professional rules applicable to the relevant professional.
5. Service Status & Indicative Timelines
- Any timeline shown on the platform is indicative and is intended to help clients understand expected administrative or workflow steps.
- Timelines begin only after all required documents are submitted by the client and payment, if applicable, is confirmed.
- Legal matters and advocate-led work are subject to professional judgment, client instructions, jurisdiction, court schedules and regulatory factors outside BBH's control.
- Delays caused by government portals, courts, regulatory bodies, third parties or client non-responsiveness are outside BBH's control.
- We will keep you informed of progress through the platform dashboard.
6. Pricing & Payments
- Fees and service terms are quoted or confirmed on a case-by-case basis after scope review and subject to the professional rules applicable to the relevant professional.
- For advocate-led legal work, professional fees and engagement terms are a matter between the client and the advocate, facilitated through the platform where applicable and subject to applicable Bar Council rules.
- Fees are exclusive of government charges, statutory fees, court fees and third-party charges unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is required before service commencement.
- We accept payments via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets).
- GST-compliant invoices will be issued for every transaction.
7. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete and timely information and documents.
- Respond to queries from the assigned expert within a reasonable time.
- Do not submit fraudulent, false or misleading information.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information provided for filings.
8. Expert code of conduct
Professionals on our platform are expected to comply with:
- Professional ethics of their respective regulatory body or professional association, where applicable.
- BBH platform standards for communication, document handling and status updates.
- Confidentiality obligations regarding client data.
- Role-appropriate review of platform conduct and operational responsiveness.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, design and technology on the platform are owned by BBH or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
- BBH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.
- We are not responsible for decisions made by government authorities, courts or regulatory bodies regarding your filings or cases.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes shall first be resolved through amicable negotiation.
- If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- The seat of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the platform for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity or any conduct harmful to BBH or other users. Ongoing services at the time of termination will be handled as per our refund policy.
13. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
